Product Details

AUTO ORDNANCE, USA
A GOOD .45 (ACP) FULLY-AUTOMATIC SUB-MACHINEGUN, MODEL 'THOMPSON M1928A1', serial no. AO.65331,
World War Two production, with 13in. finned barrel including 'Cutt's' compensator muzzle-break, squared receiver with top-mounted cocking piece, fire selector and safety catch mounted to the left hand side of action, detachable walnut butt-stock, finger-grooved pistol-grip and fore-end, detachable 20-shot magazine, the whole appearing little used

Other Notes: This Thompson Gun was one of a number sent to Russia during World War Two. Unfortunately the ship carrying the ammunition was sunk by the Germans en-route, resulting in the guns languishing unused in a Russian warehouse until recently discovered. It is featured in John Hutchins new book 'Death Rattle', pg 360.
